..So you will see these visions and revelations – prophesies and so on. Well we’re talking about ‘ The Deeper Life Is An Inward Change. ‘ Let’s also look at what it says in Mark sixteen with regard to all of this and the outpouring of the Spirit. Mark sixteen verses seventeen and eighteen. Again I’m sure you know this well but we need to look at this. We’ll take it from verse fifteen – in which Jesus said before being taken up into heaven:
And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. Mark 16:15
He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. Mark 16:16
And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; Mark 16:17
They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. Mark 16:18
Again I believe that to be for the Body of Christ. It’s not just one man doing it. This is what we are moving into – being prepared for these last days. Because there are those who are going to give there lives to Christ.
Sickness is increasing – it’s getting worse and worse. We desperately need and believe for the gifts to come into operation, the gifts of healing and miracles and faith. We don’t know how much NHS or whatever will be able to cope in these last days. We’re getting a glimpse of this through this C. Virus. This is just the start of other things that are going to unfold. Diseases and pestilences which Jesus spoke of in Matthew twenty four.
Protection and Power in Jesus Name
And so the House of God – you and I we need to be protected. The enemy is out to try to destroy us. So God will supernaturally preserve and protect us because He’s teaching us to pray the prayer of faith – To stand upon the promises of God in these last days. Because we’ve learnt the name – we know the power in the name of Jesus to cast out these devils. We speak now with new tongues. We war in the Spirit with those new tongues. These serpents – which mean the things of the enemy or people trying to poison us – destroy us (and they will try) – will by no means hurt us it says here. And we will lay hands on the sick and they will recover in the name of Jesus.
These are not simply words, this is not outdated. This is not just for the time of the book of Acts. The Word of God doesn’t change – it’s the same yesterday today and forever. We are moving more and more toward this as God does this deep inward work within us. But it’s a work also where we have authority with God. He’s bestowed His power upon us and through us. He can entrust us in praying for the sick – laying hands on them, or casting out these demons because we have been so taught to give Him all the glory. We take none of it for ourselves.. ..
