Luke 10:1-2 After these things the Lord appointed seventy others also, and sent them two by two before His face into every city and place where He Himself was about to go. 2 Then He said to them, “The harvest truly is great, but the laborers are few; therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.
Luke 10:17-20 Then the seventy returned with joy, saying, “Lord, even the demons are subject to us in Your name.” 18 And He said to them, “I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven. 19 Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.
Why is the church these days so ineffective? The enemy roars and the Christians run! Why is it that Christians don’t understand and grasp their position and authority in Christ over the powers of darkness?
If you are not a saint who is walking close with Christ, yielding over to the Spirit – that is to the life of Christ in you, you can’t understand this. The more you see of Christ the more you are going to understand the authority of the one that you look at. As the Jesus disciple communes with Christ he/she is going to hear the Holy Spirit saying:

“now come on take authority over this, I dealt with it at the cross, now you apply it”
Mark 16:15-18 And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. 16 He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned. 17 And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; 18 they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.”
20 Nevertheless do not rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rather rejoice because your names are written in heaven.”
Christ has laid the foundation which cannot be added to or subtracted from, but must rather be applied and built upon. Satan has already fallen and the spirits are already subject to us through Christ’s work at Calvary, and so we rejoice in the finished work – all glory is to His name. Our actions are to be rooted in and focused upon the Rock Of Our Salvation who has written our names in ‘The Lamb’s Book Of Life’ in heaven.

“Come and be blessed!” “Come and get healed!” “We saved “10,000 souls for Christ last year.” “20,000 got baptised in The Holy Spirit.” “4,000 got baptised in water.” ” ..the demons are subject to us in Your name.”
Man boasting in what he’s doing for Christ is emotional, this does not cast out demons and heal the sick but the finished work of Calvary does.

God is expecting me to take authority over the Powers of
Darkness daily. Fear, confusion is a lie and I need to speak to it in Jesus name.
I am to yield daily to Jesus Christ .. He will show me discernment and warfare .. it will flow from me. It is time to grow up and take authority over the Powers of Darkness, they will not hurt me as the Devil is under my feet.
A serpent crawls on it’s belly and can be stamped on .. I have authority to break negative cycles over myself and my family. God is preparing me for this and I need to wait on Him to teach me/show me.
Matthew 11:27 All things have been delivered to Me by My Father, and no one knows the Son except the Father. Nor does anyone know the Father except the Son, and the one to whom the Son wills to reveal Him.
