God’s Creation
.. One of the wonders of the creation of man made in the image of Jesus Christ is our mind – our brains. It is a tremendous creation. When we think about our minds – our brains – how that they are designed – created – not only to glorify God but also to learn about Him – His ways – how God communicates with us. Our mind our brain is probably one of the greatest creations in the human anatomy. There are many other great creations of God – the creation of a child conceived in the womb of a mother and how it develops and grows – all of these wonderful creations of God..
God’s Glory
.. But our minds in many ways are created for God’s glory – to learn about Him – to take in all that information, that understanding, the things of The Spirit. And the enemy knows exactly where to attack with man. He knows where to get to man to try and control him. Because you see when God created us and made the brain it was for Him and Him alone in which we could learn all the mysteries and wonders of God, to enjoy fellowship with Him – communing with Him and so on..
God’s Gift
.. For Satan to be the god of this world which he lusted for he knew precisely where to attack – in mans mind (and of course he went to the woman first). The bible has much to say about mans mind, but I want us to turn to a portion of scripture that’s not looked at very much with regard to this subject and we’re calling our teaching today ‘ Our Minds Are God’s Gift. ‘.. ..
Isaiah 26:1 In that day shall this song be sung in the land of Judah; We have a strong city; salvation will God appoint for walls and bulwarks.
2 Open ye the gates, that the righteous nation which keepeth the truth may enter in.
3 Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.
4 Trust ye in the Lord for ever: for in the Lord Jehovah is everlasting strength:
5 For he bringeth down them that dwell on high; the lofty city, he layeth it low; he layeth it low, even to the ground; he bringeth it even to the dust.
6 The foot shall tread it down, even the feet of the poor, and the steps of the needy.
Philippians 4:6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
Galatians 3:23 But before faith came, we were kept under the law, shut up unto the faith which should afterwards be revealed.
24 Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith.
25 But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster.
26 For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.
2 Corinthians 10:3 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh:
4 (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)
5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;
6 And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled.
2 Corinthians 4:4 In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.
