Do Not Be Wise In Your Own Eyes | Learning To Lean On God

Do Not Be Wise In Your Own Eyes
Proverbs 3:5 Trust in the Lord with all thine heart;
and lean not unto thine own understanding.
6 In all thy ways acknowledge him,
and he shall direct thy paths.

We Know Nothing Unless God Shows Us

Do Not Be Wise In Your Own Eyes

.. You think that is right but you won’t really know unless God shows you. There’s a huge difference between what we think is right and what God shows us what is right. And we very often have to wait for God’s guidance.

All Things Through Prayer

How often have we talked about waiting before the Lord or waiting in prayer and intercession? A lot of that waiting is so that we get the wisdom.. knowledge.. understanding. Wish to God more Christians would do this, but they don’t often to this because they don’t have the prayer life they should have..

Understanding The Mind Of God

.. That helps to apply all that God is doing saying and revealing. This is why the Word of God shows us that it’s life for some and death for others. But all of us that have life today in Jesus Christ – we have it because God worked through saints to apply wisdom so that we can understand the ways and mind of God. I know this one takes a time..

7 Be not wise in your own eyes:
fear the Lord, and depart from evil.
8 It shall be health to thy navel,
and marrow to thy bones.

Seeking True Wisdom

.. So it’s telling us not to believe in what you see and hear. We are bombarded every day with the world’s wisdom. We’re bombarded with lies deceit because Satan is the god of this world. The point is do we react or act? Do we act in faith to what we hear? Those who are in faith will seek God and will commit everything they hear to God because the world lies in deceit and lies. Sadly many in the world are gullible and just believe what they are told. But God will not have that to be of us.. .. ..

1 Chronicles 28:9 And thou, Solomon my son, know thou the God of thy father, and serve him with a perfect heart and with a willing mind: for the Lord searcheth all hearts, and understandeth all the imaginations of the thoughts: if thou seek him, he will be found of thee; but if thou forsake him, he will cast thee off for ever. 10 Take heed now; for the Lord hath chosen thee to build an house for the sanctuary: be strong, and do it.
