Keep Calm And Listen To God
.. Why am I stressing all of this – because God is Truth, there’s no lie in Him.. We have to learn to listen to God and one of the ways you listen to God is you keep calm.. There’s always something to learn and that knowledge – learning – is always in truth. This is why we get into the scriptures – the bible. As we learn these we know that we’re only going to know truth when we have a faith that acts.. ‘ Our Authority Comes From Knowing The Truth. ‘
But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. James 1:22
A Faith That Acts
.. So if I want to know truth and ‘ the truth sets me free ‘, and God says ‘ draw near to me and I will draw near to you ‘ – whatever God is going to reveal I have to act upon it to truly experience and know it. We preach so much about faith but faith is really about knowing. When you read about the great saints and everything very often with the miracles that happened God was already guiding and speaking to them. He was already beginning to reveal truth.
Peter Had To Learn To Focus On Jesus
This is why I always say you don’t just step out of the boat.. Peter made that move but he had to learn.. He saw the Lord drawing near walking on the water and began to do likewise. But he took his eyes off The Lord and looked at the waves and began to sink. He was learning a lesson about faith: Whenever you step out in faith you have to ask yourself ‘ am I looking to Jesus Christ and to Him alone ? Is He my focus or am I looking to circumstances ? ‘ I knew yesterday – getting lost – the only way I would find I would find that place was to get my focus on Jesus.. .. ..
