Romans 1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.
17 For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.
Caught Up In Works
.. I opened up with the first church – at Ephesus. Highly commended – it’s an apostolic church. It’s got faith but it had one flaw and a very serious one – it had lost it’s first love – Jesus. What was He revealing there? He was saying ‘ you are getting caught up in works. YOU are starting to do it and it’s not Me doing it through you. ‘ There is the difference and that is the power of The Gospel. That is the power of The Word, that power that we have received through the new birth and the Baptism of The Holy Spirit – is the power of God doing it through us as we yield to The Spirit.
Sink Or Swim
The Deeper Life in The Spirit is all about yielding – that is it. It’s letting go and letting God take over. Are you noticing just recently that in your trials – you situation – it’s like ‘ I’ve come to the end – I’m finished – there’s no more. ‘ Are you experiencing it – I can’t be the only one? Why is that happening? Becaause He’s allowing us to go right to the end – because He wants to take over. It’s a horrible feeling in the natural. You feel as if you’re going under.. as if you’ve lost it.. but you havn’t..
Yielding To God’s Strength
.. You hear your cry coming out ‘ Lord Lord help me I’m going under. ‘ He’s brought you right to the end because that is the point where the power of God – this Gospel – wants to take over in your life and my life. Now hold on to that.. when you feel you’ve got no more strength – you are emotionally, psychologically, physically absolutely weak. That is when the Power of God takes over. Hold on, He hasn’t forsaken you, He’s not left you. He’s allowing that because He wants to show you what were talking about here. It’s the Power of God unto salvation to everyone who believes. That is it! .. .. ..
Hebrews 12:2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.
