And mount Sinai was altogether on a smoke, because the LORD descended upon it in fire: and the smoke thereof ascended as the smoke of a furnace, and the whole mount quaked greatly. Exodus 19:18
See that ye refuse not him that speaketh. For if they escaped not who refused him that spake on earth, much more shall not we escape, if we turn away from him that speaketh from heaven: Hebrews 12:25
Whose voice then shook the earth: but now he hath promised, saying, Yet once more I shake not the earth only, but also heaven. Hebrews 12:26
And this word, Yet once more, signifieth the removing of those things that are shaken, as of things that are made, that those things which cannot be shaken may remain. Hebrews 12:27
Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear: Hebrews 12:28
For our God is a consuming fire. Hebrews 12:29
..No other nation experienced what God is doing here where He met with them face to face at Mt Sinia.. I’ll say this at this point – there are two mounts. There is Mt Sinai under the Old Covenant and there is Mt Zion under the New Covenant. Mt Sinai was ‘ The Giving Of The Law. ‘ This was God revealing Himself, this was the anger of God against sin. The only way that this could be temporarily dealt with was through the slaying of animals and presenting of blood through the high priest. ‘ The Hand Of God Is Beginning To Be Seen In History. ‘
Mt Zion speaks of the Heavenly Jerusalem where man now has boldness – through sin once and for all being dealt with [through Jesus] – to enter into the presence of the Lord. They are both mounts that have changed the course of history for the believer.
The Great Shaking Has Started
And how is this done? It’s done through shaking. Shaking has to get rid of what is not of God – what is left will be for His glory. We are now entering the greatest shaking that humanity will ever experience with the coming of the Lord. Everything is being prepared – the stage is being set. The enemy is rising up now, there is a leader to come who is going to deceive the nations. He [the Devil] knows that this shaking is going to expose him – his kingdom and his devilish acts. It’s going to chain him for a thousand years through the great archangel Michael.
So we’re on the course of a great shaking taking place. This will be a means of God’s hand entering into history yet again and putting down all His enemies.. He will rule and reign for one thousand years. And all those who are with Him – the Overcomers – will likewise rule with Him to bring this world back to worshipping God.. ..
