Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. 2Corinthians 5:17
..But how much more with Almighty God who creates and makes anew. And when God creates and makes anew He never makes a mistake. Because He wouldn’t bother otherwise. Everything He creates and makes is always for His glory. The old has to be done away with. You see salvation isn’t just deliverance from sin. There’s such a great emphasis on that. It never moves beyond the fact that salvation is also deliverance ..divine healing ..holiness ..the promises of God’s Word and so on. ‘ Salvation In Union With Almighty God. ‘
Salvation Is Fellowship With God
Unless the whole counsel of God’s Word is preached people are not going to experience what the Apostle says. The Word of God must match those words. The anointing that wrote that through the Apostle is the same anointing today speaking to us, delivering us, revealing and showing to us..
‘ ..behold, all things are become new ‘
..For the very reason of the title ‘ Salvation In Union With Almighty God. ‘ How can we have union – fellowship with Him – unless that has happened? You will never have a true relationship with God unless you are that new creation – made new by the mighty power of God. He has to put that in our lives – He has to do that for the very purpose to have fellowship with us. It can’t work otherwise. There’s a lot of emphasis today on ‘getting saved’ so that you don’t go to hell, but there is a lot more to it. Salvation is a restoration bringing us back into fellowship and a walk with Almighty God.
A Threat To The Self-Life.
The self-life has to be dealt with to have a complete union with Christ. That is why we preach the cross – discipleship. ..Self doesn’t want to have a relationship with God.. to have new things created in self threatens the self-life. The self-life is enmity to God. And so God has to provides the power of the Holy Spirit to deal with the self-life.
For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. 2Corinthians 4:6
..The self-life is crucified daily in order that we have a union and relationship with Almighty God.. ..
And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me. Luke 9:23
