Matthew 11:25 At that time Jesus answered and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes. 26 Even so, Father: for so it seemed good in thy sight. 27 All things are delivered unto me of my Father: and no man knoweth the Son, but the Father; neither knoweth any man the Father, save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son will reveal him.
28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.
A Miraculous Walk
.. When we are at rest with God we become aware of the power of God moving through weakness to make me strong. We become aware of the power of God in our everyday walk. And somedays we just don’t have that energy as we should or we’re a bit off colour or whatever it would be. Well the power of God is there to take over. Sometimes I have to be dependent on the power of God because sometimes I don’t always feel in the natural that I want to preach or teach. But I know that through that rest in Him He empowers, He takes over. And you know it is so encouraging for one to experience this. This is what makes our walk miraculous – not like a normal walk. This is what gives God all the glory and this is what gives you a testimony of His faithfulness.. ‘ Only The Lord Gives True Rest. ‘
Resting In Him
When you pray intercede and seek God are you at rest, do you have that assurance that He’s hearing you? Do you know that you are standing right with Him? Very often when you get into prayer and intercession you become aware of that rest that you have in Him. Sometimes you know that when you enter into warfare or whatever it would be you become aware of the power of God warring through you against the Powers of Darkness. Sometimes He gives you that experience, but that comes by that rest that you have with Him..
Resistance And Rest
When you are walking by faith you have that rest and that rest is often experienced in the mind because we know that’s where the Devil attacks. It’s in the mind, particularly when you take a step of faith.. Well if you are at rest with Him there is something that doesn’t receive that. You’re able to reject it, you’re able to tell the enemy to depart. But you’ve got to have that rest in your life and heart..
Do Not Strive
.. That light in you will often open up in witness or sharing or whatever it would be, but that comes again by resting in that. You can’t strive at these things and we’ve all tried to do it. When you are at rest with God it naturally happens like breathing.. .. ..
Mark 6:31 And he said unto them, Come ye yourselves apart into a desert place, and rest a while: for there were many coming and going, and they had no leisure so much as to eat.
1 Corinthians 16:18 For they have refreshed my spirit and yours: therefore acknowledge ye them that are such.
Revelation 6:11 And white robes were given unto every one of them; and it was said unto them, that they should rest yet for a little season, until their fellowservants also and their brethren, that should be killed as they were, should be fulfilled.
Revelation 14:13 And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours; and their works do follow them.
Jeremiah 6:16 Thus saith the Lord, Stand ye in the ways,
and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way,
and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls.
But they said, We will not walk therein.
