1 John 4:1 Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.
Walking By Faith Is Being Saved
.. We have taught over the years where on one side of the coin we are saved and on the other side we are being saved. That is really how the bible presents our walk, the ‘ being saved ‘ is where we walk by faith and that is what sorts it out. It would be wonderful if on the one side we are saved and just taken into glory, we’d all love that but we are still left in this life to walk each day by faith, and that is the ‘ being saved. ‘ As Jesus said..
..Matthew 24:13 But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.
The Spiritual Ladder
.. Everything that God does in His love grace and mercy for the believer is to bring us from something unto something, and that is bringing us from ourselves – our unbelief, battling with sin and temptations. He’s bringing us ‘out from’ in which to move higher with Him. This is why we’ve shown over the years that our walk is like a ladder – going from one step to another to another. Every step if our eyes are looking to Jesus is a step higher and closer to heaven. That’s what it should be about, it’s what teaching The Word Of God should be about.. what our fellowship should be about. That is what The Body Of Christ is all about – helping us on this spiritual ladder. Each step that we take is leading us toward heaven, leading us toward our Saviour Jesus..
Hebrews 12:2 looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.
Closer To Jesus
.. That is the sealing of God working with us.. one of the major testings and discernings with God and the saints and the ministry that He sets us in – ‘ does this lead me closer to Jesus? ‘ That is always the test, that is what we are to test and discern in ministry as we’re told in 1John 4:1. ‘Test the spirits, what is speaking to me.’.. .. ..
