I walk this day by faith – todays faith, and do not consider tomorrow or next week – trusting God each day He will bring me through ready for His return.

Time for planning for tomorrow and looking to the future in this life is out of the question for the Jesus disciple. God more and more is going to show that when we try to plan our future it probably won’t happen anyway. There is something He’s trying to show and teach us and that is the principle of faith and the walk of faith, each day it is today’s walk of faith and not tomorrows and so day by day we have a faith that will preserve and keep us until He returns.
The Principle of Faith
This is the only way we please God and is the way all the saints and patriarchs walked.. If you’re solely looking to the Lord, seeking the Kingdom you will let go of the future, it’s not about being streetwise and fighting for survival. God says we let go of all that and He will provide for each day, He is the giver of life and will preserve that life -the new life of Jesus Christ within us. The Lord is coming as a thief but it will not take those who are looking to Him for everything by surprise.
It’s within us to want to know the future, and this is why people go to spiritists and the occult .. it’s that pride .. ‘I am in control’. A man or woman in the walk of faith is not in control, that’s the whole point.
So it is Christ in you in control living His life through you – an experience we have to enter into. Every trial is designed to cause us to let go. Therefore if you are going through a trial over and over again it is because you are refusing to let go. You still want to be in control.
Proverbs 27:1
27 Do not boast about tomorrow,
For you do not know what a day may bring forth.
Let go and let God
Proverbs 3:6
6 In all your ways acknowledge Him,
And He shall direct your paths.
Luke 11:2
2 So He said to them, “When you pray, say:
James 4:13-17
13 Come now, you who say, “Today or tomorrow we will go to such and such a city, spend a year there, buy and sell, and make a profit”; 14 whereas you do not know what will happen tomorrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour that appears for a little time and then vanishes away.
Our Father in heaven,
Hallowed be Your name.
Your kingdom come.
Your will be done
On earth as it is in heaven.
Planning for the future takes us out of the will of God. And so we become insensitive to His voice – consumed with what ‘I want to do’
We are to surrender the self life over so that the master builder can build through us. How is His church – the bride going to be built, how is she going to make herself ready? By the master builder building through us as yielded vessels waiting on and looking to the Lord.
The baptism in the Spirit is an empowerment so that God can get us out of the way and build His church through us.
The Walk Of Faith
Matthew 6:30-34 Now if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will He not much more clothe you, O you of little faith?
31 “Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ 32 For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things.33 But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. 34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.
Hebrews 11:9-12
9 By faith he dwelt in the land of promise as in a foreign country, dwelling in tents with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise; 10 for he waited for the city which has foundations, whose builder and maker is God.
1 Peter 1:17
17 And if you call on the Father, who without partiality judges according to each one’s work, conduct yourselves throughout the time of your stay here in fear.
When we stop planning we become interested in the things of the Kingdom. In other words a life that sees the Kingdom of God is a life that has let go of everything…
The Puppet
When the Lord was showing me in the early days the principle of faith walking and dealing with my life .. He showed me a puppet. A puppet of course as you know has strings attached to it .. will respond to the pulls of the strings. Who pulls the strings in this life – not God, it’s the enemy – We are puppets being pulled jerked as he [the enemy] wants.. What does God do when He starts to take over a life? He will start to cut each string. There are alot of strings attached to these puppets. And I saw this and thought that when He cuts the last
string attached to the head the whole thing is going to collapse .. but that puppet then became alive and started to move by itself. No longer were the movements jerked and pulled along by an enemy, but gently flowed and moved with God. God’s ministry is .. setting us free – He’s cutting away those strings and it’s up to us whether we let Him do it or not. ‘If the Son shall set you free you are free indeed’. You move with the Holy Spirit in perfect harmony and unity.. todays faith.
