For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: Romans 8:15,16
..We discussed that what we have received through the new birth and through the experience of the Baptism in The Holy Spirit.. not bondage again to fear, because fear is the biggest hindrance to faith. It hinders our walk with God. And so we find The Holy Spirit begins to work and deliver us from this fear. ‘ .. but you have received the spirit of adoption.. ‘ ‘ The Spirit Of Adoption | Sonship Revealed 2 ‘
Revelation And Training
So in the baptism in The Holy Spirit there is a receiving of adoption. ‘ ..whereby we cry Abba, Father.. ‘ meaning that we have a revelation and understanding of our Father who has adopted us – grafted us into the vine in other words. ‘ ..The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God.. ‘ So there is a witness of what we have received. The Holy Spirit reveals this sonship to us through the baptism but not all attain to it because of it’s training. And there is the difference. Many believe it and know it theologically, but there has to be a training if you want to be a son of God.
Sonship Lost And Regained
Now we know.. that through sin man lost his sonship – when Adam and Eve fell. They lost sonship, and so through Christ he has been legally restored by faith so that we through Christ receive this sonship. And Christ of course is the first Son, the forerunner who has gone before and prepared the way. He is now the son who sits at the right hand of the Father making intercessions for us. So here we get this idea of being sons of God… ..

Now I say, That the heir, as long as he is a child, differeth nothing from a servant, though he be lord of all; But is under tutors and governors until the time appointed of the father. Even so we, when we were children, were in bondage under the elements of the world: But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law, To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons. And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father. Galatians 4:1-6
And the LORD spake unto Moses and unto Aaron, saying, How long shall I bear with this evil congregation, which murmur against me? I have heard the murmurings of the children of Israel, which they murmur against me. Say unto them, As truly as I live, saith the LORD, as ye have spoken in mine ears, so will I do to you: Your carcases shall fall in this wilderness; and all that were numbered of you, according to your whole number, from twenty years old and upward which have murmured against me. And there appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars: And she being with child cried, travailing in birth, and pained to be delivered. And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads.
