That must always be the driving force of every decision – every step of faith, every trial of faith, everything we say and do re our acts of obedience. The Rest Of Faith
When we are resting by faith whatever happens to us we will find that we act and not react. And there is a great difference. In this world of confusion and this falling away now all we’re seeing is ‘reaction.’ Reaction always stems from fear confusion and doubt. But that is not what we’re saved for. We are saved for rest peace and comfort in Jesus Christ even though the storms are raging around us. We’re not moved or influenced by it. We are still moved by God’s Word and God’s promises. God has saved us to be above all of these things. That is why we are seated in heavenly places with Christ Jesus. So with every trial, every piece of news, whatever somebody says, all my feelings – I am above this..
There are many times when I can feel fear or doubt trying to engulf me – I sometimes hear myself saying ‘ I am above this in Jesus name. I have the mind of Christ in this situation. ‘ Sometimes we need to speak these things out vocally – verbally, we actually need to hear ourselves say it..
Witnessing Light and Life From The Indwelling Word
The Word of God becomes alive through you and me. That is how God quickens The Word. He makes it alive because of your faith and my faith. My belief – I have the tenacity to believe this Word! This is what makes it alive and this is how the world will read their bibles, because they’re not interested – they don’t read it. But we’re called to be lights – called to be witnesses in this world. The Word of God that has got a hold of our life – is our life – as we believe and act upon it – that light is seen..
It is important to know what is influencing and causing us to move forward, and that is God’s Word. Your Word – it has become a part of your life. God has shared this wonderful Word – this Word that He spoke and the world came into being. That we were created by through the breathing out of His Word. He has shared this Word – His Word with you and He’s made it a part of your life. That is why we cannot live without it – it is our spiritual food. This is what keeps us alive – moving forward and pressing in as the Overcomers.. ..
