The Holy Spirit Is Unyielding To The Self Life | Video

Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword. For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law. And a man's foes shall be they of his own household. He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me. And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me. He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it. Matthew 10:34-39

..It is always dealing with where our heart and affections lie. And we don’t always know where our heart and affections lie until a trial a testing or that cross that we are to take up daily and follow The Lord. The cross is very instrumental in revealing where our heart – our loyalties lie. This is why this is one of the hardest sayings that Jesus speaks on. And you ignore it – I’ll tell you something – it will keep following you wherever you go. There are a lot who water it down or who try to ignore it. Maybe we’ve tried to do it ourselves, but I’ve got news for you. If you want to continue walking with The Lord you will find that this will keep following you wherever you go. Why because the title says so, ‘ The Holy Spirit Is Unyielding To The Self Life. ‘

The Holy Spirit Is Unyielding To The Self Life

The Gospel Deals With The Self Life

Now, we know that The Gospel is good news – that’s what we declare. We declare the good news of The Gospel. And do you know why it is good news? Because it deals with our self life. If you hold on to your life.. to the self it is not going to be good news. If you desire the self life to be dealt with so that you wholly and completely follow The Lord.. then you will see that The Gospel is such good news because it deals with that self life. It deals with you and I.

Attending Your Own Funeral

You see you will have to attend to this sooner or later.. If you allow the cross to do that work in your life you are going to find one day that you will attend your own funeral.. You will not want them to mourn over your death but you will be speaking out ‘ no this should be a time of rejoicing.. of celebration. I was once alive in sin and unbelief but I have now died in Christ. And that is good news! ‘.. .. ..

Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8:34-39
Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word; That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me. And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one: I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me. Father, I will that they also, whom thou hast given me, be with me where I am; that they may behold my glory, which thou hast given me: for thou lovedst me before the foundation of the world. O righteous Father, the world hath not known thee: but I have known thee, and these have known that thou hast sent me. And I have declared unto them thy name, and will declare it: that the love wherewith thou hast loved me may be in them, and I in them. John 17:20-26
I have manifested thy name unto the men which thou gavest me out of the world: thine they were, and thou gavest them me; and they have kept thy word. John 17:6
