Predestination

.. Predestined to fulfill God’s ultimate purpose .. we need to look at what sonship is because according to scripture we have been predestined for that. Now predestination includes us meeting the conditions, predestination does not force us to do a thing it means that within that predestination are our own free choices and actions. It’s not fatalistic ..

God has ordained our faith obedience and consecration. He knows who will respond because He has ordained them to believe and respond – we glorify God for His grace in that. This is why we take this so seriously – Jesus said ‘by their fruit you will know them’ so a consistent lack of fruit or a consistent manifestation of the wrong kind of fruit – it doesn’t matter what that person says – he or she can’t say ‘I’ve been called of God and do what I please’ – there’s a righteousness involved in this

Matthew 7:21 King James Version (KJV)

21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

Responsibility

So there’s an awesome responsiblity but when we understand – when we see this – if God has opened our eyes to this then He’s predestined us to this because we couldn’t see it otherwise – therefore press in! Whatever would contradict our confession of faith .. if God be for us who can be against us? … ..

Philippians 1:6 King James Version (KJV)

6 Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:

Philippians 2:13  (KJV)

13 For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.
