Psalm 130:1 Out of the depths have I cried unto thee, O Lord.
2 Lord, hear my voice: let thine ears be attentive to the voice of my supplications.
3 If thou, Lord, shouldest mark iniquities, O Lord, who shall stand?
4 But there is forgiveness with thee, that thou mayest be feared.
5 I wait for the Lord, my soul doth wait, and in his word do I hope..
.. all of this comes out of that attitude and nature and heart of waiting on God. Each day your salvation now is a waiting on God – that’s your relationship with Him and like any true relationship you don’t rush it. You don’t force it – it naturally grows, that’s what relationship is about. That is what the Psalmist is saying here:
Real Relationship
..6 My soul waiteth for the Lord more than they that watch for the morning: I say, more than they that watch for the morning..
New Every Morning
.. People who wait for the morning – farmers – are waiting for the light to come in which to do their work. Mornings are the best time of the day when you want to see things – the best time of the day to go out for a walk – to see a coming to life after sleeping.
The Expectant Heart
Everything is fresh in the morning, it’s a wonderful time. The Psalmist says ‘ that’s what I’m waiting for, I need to see fresh touches from God, I’m waiting for that fresh manna He has for me today. Yesterday’s manna is stale, it’s gone.. Through this waiting I’m watching for the morning. My waiting isn’t in vain. ‘ It’s a waiting with expectation.. an expectant heart – and that’s our faith.
..’ What is God going to do and say today? Will it be today that I get my healing? Will it be today that I will see my son saved? ‘ That’s how our heart should be and that’s why I’m encouraging you when we come to our meetings online to pray. Pray for the meeting – get in prayer – come with an expectant heart because God is sowing His seed – His life into us. That’s our faith – to believe – to overcome in this world because we know how vocal the devil can be and how he tries to attack the mind.. So then we are seeing such a lot in this waiting on God.. .. ..
..7 Let Israel hope in the Lord: for with the Lord there is mercy, and with him is plenteous redemption.
8 And he shall redeem Israel from all his iniquities.
