For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, He taketh the wise in their own craftiness. 1Corinthians 3:19
And again, The Lord knoweth the thoughts of the wise, that they are vain. 1Corinthians 3:20
Therefore let no man glory in men. For all things are your's; 1Corinthians 3:21
Whether Paul, or Apollos, or Cephas, or the world, or life, or death, or things present, or things to come; all are your's; 1Corinthians 3:22
And ye are Christ's; and Christ is God's. 1Corinthians 3:23
..So he says very clearly there is a wisdom – the world does have a wisdom – but it is a counterfeit wisdom. You see Satan being the god of this world still at the moment – he counterfeits everything that God does. So he says ‘ for the wisdom of the world.. ‘ This is not a godly wisdom. You see as we are learning and getting knowledge from God and from the Word of God through the Holy Spirit we then have that wisdom – how to apply that knowledge. And so it says ‘ For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. ‘ Why is it foolish? ‘ For it is written, He taketh the wise in their own craftiness. ‘ ‘ Not By Might Nor By Power But By My Spirit Saith The Lord. ‘
Wisdom From Above or Below?
The world wants trap you, it wants to trip you up. It wants to control you in the mind to keep you earthly, sensual. Notice the nature – crafty, cunning. It’s beguiling – seducing and that’s the nature of it. Do you know brothers and sisters that is what God is delivering us from. We have to let Him do it because:
James 3:17 But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.
..And there is the fundamental difference. ‘ The Lord knoweth the thoughts of the wise, that they are vain [futile]. ‘ So they have all the passion and fervour – that what they believe is right – many will even be martyrs because the believe they’re right politically or whatever it is. But what does he say – it’s futile – useless. So he says none of us will boast – only in one thing – that everything belongs to God and God has shared this with us..
All Things Are Yours

..There’s the nature and generosity of our heavenly Father to those that get delivered – who experience the power and might of the Spirit of God working through them.. ..
