Romans 6:6 knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin. 7 For he that is dead is freed from sin ..11 Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.
The Scriptures remind us that we are No Longer Slaves To Sin, reinforcing our identity in Christ.
Heart After God
… We should no longer be slaves to sin, in other words my identification with Him has dealt with my attitude – my heart toward sin and sinning. I no longer like it, there is something within me that cannot accept it and will not. That is what compels us to go before God in prayer – in intercession particularly when we have missed the mark and sinned. There is something within that you have to get it right. We have to settle on obedience because it is obedience that kills that sin. No Longer Slaves To Sin is the reality we must embrace.
‘Where There’s A Will There’s A Way’
.. You cannot obey unless you turn to God and you talk to Him – you bring it out into the light. It sometimes takes years to come to this decision about sin and certain weaknesses in our life. It’s the greatest moment when you decide sin must die in you. We all come to that place because you see our eyes are being opened. By God’s restraining power we are continually cleansed and covered by the blood of Jesus, and so God deals with us when we are ready – when He opens our eyes and ears and heart and works that deliverance..
Walking In The Spirit
This journey of realizing we are No Longer Slaves To Sin is essential for spiritual growth.
.. We often think ‘why didn’t this happen 10 years ago, how come it’s taken all this time? That is the grace and mercy of God, that is God in control – releasing and delivering us so that we are no longer slaves to sin. We’ve come to that place where we have settle it. The Holy Spirit comes and He takes over, in actual fact it reads He invades when we give Him permission.. He takes over completely and thank God that He does. He takes charge of everything now… In this life we keep letting go..
Understanding that we are No Longer Slaves To Sin transforms our relationship with God, guiding us to live in freedom.
Being No Longer Slaves To Sin is a powerful truth that empowers believers to live in freedom and purpose.
Letting go means understanding that we are No Longer Slaves To Sin, allowing God’s grace to fill every part of our lives.
Keep Letting Go
.. Everyday I keep letting go for His fulness to invade – to penetrate every part of me that the world may see that I walk with Jesus. Keep letting go! .. .. ..
