Wise Virgins
.. We’re too quick to believe reports because we’re still earthly minded. That is why you’ve always got to keep the cross daily in your life.. So many are not being prepared to be saints – to walk as wise virgins. They have no insight.. cannot even see the destruction that is coming because they believe the church will triumph and put it all right.. ‘ Let Our Heavenly Citizenship Prepare Us. ‘
Brethren, be followers together of me, and mark them which walk so as ye have us for an ensample. (For many walk, of whom I have told you often, and now tell you even weeping, that they are the enemies of the cross of Christ: Whose end is destruction, whose God is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame, who mind earthly things.) For our citizenship is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ: Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself. Philippians 3:17-21
Heavenly Places
.. There’s your citizenship, it’s in heaven! You are with Him in spirit, in heart, in unity and oneness in heaven. The apostle wants to encourage these Philippians that that is where their heart and affection should be. And that is what The Cross does in our lives. The Cross is death to The Self Life, so that the life that you have is a life seated with Christ in heavenly places.
How we so look to the world still to try and get that spiritual knowledge and understanding. We listen to so many unregenerates who don’t know The Lord – not born again. We try to get our knowledge and understanding from that source. We are foolish! That is not from heaven, it’s sensual, it’s from the earth. Our citizenship, our conversation, our faith – everything is from above because that’s where our Saviour dwells. He doesn’t dwell on the earth – not yet. He will do where He’ll rule and reign from Jerusalem – spiritual Zion, but at the moment He is in the heavens..
Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever. John 2:15-17

Romans 6:21 What fruit had ye then in those things whereof ye are now ashamed? for the end of those things is death.
But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;) And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus: That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus. Ephesians 2:4-7
Seated With Him
.. He wants to raise you up so that you know that you are seated in heavenly places in Christ Jesus.. to let our heavenly citizenship prepare us. It has got to prepare us because that is where we’re going.. to be seated with Him soon. So look up as your redemption draws near.. .. ..
