The Crucified And Resurrected Life

Having A Greater Knowledge Of Jesus Christ
Pastor Kim

.. So he goes to the first thing of where we are to know Christ and to have that knowledge and experience of Him. We have to go to Calvary – to the cross – because the cross achieved resurrection – a new life. And so that is where you will get your understanding of Christ – the knowledge and wisdom that He wants you to have. You go to the cross which you too take up daily and follow. That death to the self life – the self life that will try to get in the way of the resurrected life of Jesus Christ. That is the ultimate goal of the cross that you take up daily and follow..

Death Means Resurrection

.. That puts to death the selfish life within us in order to experience the risen life of Christ – that’s it’s goal. That is if you like the vision of the cross that you daily take up. God doesn’t leave us in a state of death and that’s what the devil wants you to look at saying ‘the cross is just misery and depression.’ ‘Well I better just take up my cross this day and follow The Lord.’ ‘Why bother?’ It’s what comes from this. As I’ve always said God never left His son in death, He raised Him up – death was the means of resurrection..

Resurrection And Relationship

.. Death to the self life – dealing with the flesh, the attitudes.. motives – the heart within us is the very means of resurrection! For what? For a greater knowledge and experience of the risen Lord Jesus Christ. That is what it’s for. Resurrection is so that you have fellowship – a relationship with The Lord. We hear so much today in Christendom about a relationship with God – a relationship with Jesus and I’m all for that but they don’t teach you how you get it. So much of Christendom and what they confess and talk about is in ‘the flesh.’ They want the emotions, the feelings, and do you know why – because the cross isn’t preached.. .. ..

Galatians 2:20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.
Ephesians 1:18 The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,
19 And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power,
Romans 6:4 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.
5 For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection:
6 Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.
7 For he that is dead is freed from sin.
John 13:3 Jesus knowing that the Father had given all things into his hands, and that he was come from God, and went to God;
4 He riseth from supper, and laid aside his garments; and took a towel, and girded himself.
5 After that he poureth water into a bason, and began to wash the disciples' feet, and to wipe them with the towel wherewith he was girded.
