And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the LORD shall be delivered: for in mount Zion and in Jerusalem shall be deliverance, as the LORD hath said, and in the remnant whom the LORD shall call. Joel 2:32
For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them. Ephesians 2:8-10
From The Foundation Of The World
.. They are not your works, they are Christ’s works being created and worked in us. It is His handiwork working in you and I to produce works that glorify Him. You may say to yourself ‘I don’t seem to be doing much for God’, well wait on Him. Wait on Him, have that expectation in your heart – ‘ God is going to work through me His works for His glory’..’ which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them. ‘ .. So your works – your good works that glorify Him have been prepared.. foreordained. It has been established even before the foundation of the world – because you always were, there never was a time when you were not in His mind and heart and thinking. ‘ God Has Purposed A Remnant To Believe. ‘
Manifested In Time
And there will come a time – because He has created time for us – that they will be manifested. Can I say that the idea of this – God’s manifestation – is being seen today in this meeting – and those saints that have come online. That is why it is not a mistake. It is not by chance or by accident – God has decreed it! God has brought us together whether you’re online or here in this place. You are here because God chose you to be here. Now that becomes awesome. You don’t start messing about with God, you don’t start deciding what I am going to do! This is why we give our lives over to God ( Romans 12:1,2 ). We present ourselves as that living sacrifice and He takes up the rest.
Remnant Lockstep With God
He works His works for His glory through you and I. Our meetings – our gathering together, the gifts He has set into the church.. all for.. ministry.. so that the works of God are seen through us for His glory. And so that’s why we have in the bible from Genesis to Revelation all the saints.. history.. the Remnant that He had – all experiencing walking with Almighty God. And we see today with Israel that there is also a spiritual remnant that He will reap and bring in right at the end. Why a remnant – because most of the world is going to be judged.. ..
And she was a widow of about fourscore and four years, which departed not from the temple, but served God with fastings and prayers night and day. And she coming in that instant gave thanks likewise unto the Lord, and spake of him to all them that looked for redemption in Jerusalem. Luke 2:37,38
But what saith the answer of God unto him? I have reserved to myself seven thousand men, who have not bowed the knee to the image of Baal. Even so then at this present time also there is a remnant according to the election of grace. And if by grace, then is it no more of works: otherwise grace is no more grace. But if it be of works, then it is no more grace: otherwise work is no more work. What then? Israel hath not obtained that which he seeketh for; but the election hath obtained it, and the rest were blinded. Romans 11:4-7
Saying, Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads. And I heard the number of them which were sealed: and there were sealed an hundred and forty and four thousand of all the tribes of the children of Israel. Of the tribe of Juda were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Reuben were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Gad were sealed twelve thousand. Revelation 7:3-5
For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes. Revelation 7:17
And when he had opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of them that were slain for the word of God, and for the testimony which they held: And they cried with a loud voice, saying, How long, O Lord, holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth? And white robes were given unto every one of them; and it was said unto them, that they should rest yet for a little season, until their fellowservants also and their brethren, that should be killed as they were, should be fulfilled. Revelation 6:9-11
In that day will I make the governors of Judah like an hearth of fire among the wood, and like a torch of fire in a sheaf; and they shall devour all the people round about, on the right hand and on the left: and Jerusalem shall be inhabited again in her own place, even in Jerusalem. Zechariah 12:6
And I will bring the third part through the fire, and will refine them as silver is refined, and will try them as gold is tried: they shall call on my name, and I will hear them: I will say, It is my people: and they shall say, The LORD is my God. Zechariah 13:9
Hearken unto me, ye stouthearted, that are far from righteousness: I bring near my righteousness; it shall not be far off, and my salvation shall not tarry: and I will place salvation in Zion for Israel my glory. Isaiah 46:12-13
