John 20:11 But Mary stood without at the sepulchre weeping: and as she wept, she stooped down, and looked into the sepulchre,
12 And seeth two angels in white sitting, the one at the head, and the other at the feet, where the body of Jesus had lain.
13 And they say unto her, Woman, why weepest thou? She saith unto them, Because they have taken away my Lord, and I know not where they have laid him.
14 And when she had thus said, she turned herself back, and saw Jesus standing, and knew not that it was Jesus.
15 Jesus saith unto her, Woman, why weepest thou? whom seekest thou? She, supposing him to be the gardener, saith unto him, Sir, if thou have borne him hence, tell me where thou hast laid him, and I will take him away.
16 Jesus saith unto her, Mary. She turned herself, and saith unto him, Rabboni; which is to say, Master..
Hearing His Voice
.. She recognised His voice. She wasn’t concerned about her teaching – her theology – all that she had learnt from The Lord. All of that had a place but it was nothing in comparison to hearing and knowing His voice. She recognised Him when He called her and said ‘Mary’ and she recognised He Himself was the Master – Rabboni – teacher. And unless we recognise His voice we will never understand His teaching. This is why I say so often ‘it is divinely given.’ He opens our ears eyes and heart to respond to the divine call. Your understanding of God that you know thus far has been given to you..
John 21:3 Simon Peter saith unto them, I go a fishing. They say unto him, We also go with thee. They went forth, and entered into a ship immediately; and that night they caught nothing.
4 But when the morning was now come, Jesus stood on the shore: but the disciples knew not that it was Jesus. 5 Then Jesus saith unto them, Children, have ye any meat? They answered him, No.
6 And he said unto them, Cast the net on the right side of the ship, and ye shall find. They cast therefore, and now they were not able to draw it for the multitude of fishes.
7 Therefore that disciple whom Jesus loved saith unto Peter, It is the Lord. Now when Simon Peter heard that it was the Lord, he girt his fisher's coat unto him, (for he was naked,) and did cast himself into the sea..
The Illumined Mind
.. It was The Lord who opened their understanding. Even though the risen Christ was standing in their presence they didn’t know until He opened their ears and eyes, and that is how God works. I have had to learn this one as a pastor – to realise that I know nothing in The Word of God unless He opens these scriptures. Unless He opens heart and illumines my mind to the revelation of His will I’m not able to impart what He reveals. And it is exactly the same with each of us..
Exodus 33:12 And Moses said unto the Lord, See, thou sayest unto me, Bring up this people: and thou hast not let me know whom thou wilt send with me. Yet thou hast said, I know thee by name, and thou hast also found grace in my sight.
13 Now therefore, I pray thee, if I have found grace in thy sight, shew me now thy way, that I may know thee, that I may find grace in thy sight: and consider that this nation is thy people.
14 And he said, My presence shall go with thee, and I will give thee rest.
15 And he said unto him, If thy presence go not with me, carry us not up hence..
The Calling Of The Bride
.. We are called to be part of The Bride of Christ who is making herself ready. She makes herself ready by what is divinely given to her. She cannot do this herself. She is completely incapable of making herself ready unless The Lord reveals Himself and He equips us. That will always be the mark upon God’s chosen people. That will be the mark upon those who will go up in the Rapture – the first fruits unto The Lord. God called us, this is God working through each of us. Do you recognise it’s The Lord ? .. .. ..
Psalm16:11 Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.
Psalm 46:10 Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.
1 Peter 4:9 Use hospitality one to another without grudging. 10 As every man hath received the gift, even so minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God. 11 If any man speak, let him speak as the oracles of God; if any man minister, let him do it as of the ability which God giveth: that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be praise and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.
1 Corinthians 11:29 For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh damnation to himself, not discerning the Lord's body.
Luke 24:31 And their eyes were opened, and they knew him..
