Matthew 7:7 Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: 8 for every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened. 9 Or what man is there of you, whom if his son ask bread, will he give him a stone? 10 Or if he ask a fish, will he give him a serpent? 11 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him? 12 Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets.
John 11:22 But I know, that even now, whatsoever thou wilt ask of God, God will give it thee.
John 14:13 And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. 14 If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.
John 16:23 And in that day ye shall ask me nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you. 24 Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full.
1 John 5:15 and if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.
James 1:5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. 6 But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. 7 For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord. 8 A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.
Ask Seek Knock For Your Spiritual Survival

.. So we’re beginning to learn that there’s a little bit more to this asking than just general things. We’re to go deeper with God you see – that’s what He wants of us. Our salvation and the world that we live in throws us into asking, it’s our spiritual survival if you like.
There is a parallel in Human nature which also is survival based, we fight to survive – it’s built within us. And so there is a spiritual side of survival and this fight consists in our asking and believing – standing upon the promises of God. That is what preserves and keeps us..
Matthew 6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
Seek And You Shall Find
.. .. Now this word ‘seek’ is an interesting word because it can also mean not only to find but is also connected with meditating or reasoning something out or enquiring. So in our seeking we can meditate in the Word of God which we should do. Our seeking should also require our reasoning through as The Spirit leads or to enquire of God..
These are all valid things because sometimes we need to ask The Lord – we’re not sure or don’t know. All this comes under ‘seeking’ and waiting. Then the asking comes where He will show us you see..
Matthew 7:7 Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:
<<< Keep Knocking And The Door Shall Be Opened >>>
.. You are not going to knock on a door if you know it is not going to open, I can guarantee that you won’t knock. But that’s not what it says here – we’re knocking because we know that it will open. And so that gives us an encouragement to knock. This knocking can also mean the word to ‘rap’ – to make a rapping noise – a continual knocking not giving up like ‘the persistent widow’..
She wasn’t going to give up, she kept knocking, ‘I’m going to wear him out.. attack his patience.’ She had the audacity, she was determined, she was begging.. craving.. desperate, and sometimes that is what God is going to do with you with regard to your asking.. .. ..
Luke 9:23 And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.
