1 Corinthians 3:5 Who then is Paul, and who is Apollos, but ministers by whom ye believed, even as the Lord gave to every man?
6 I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase.
7 So then neither is he that planteth any thing, neither he that watereth; but God that giveth the increase.
8 Now he that planteth and he that watereth are one: and every man shall receive his own reward according to his own labour.
9 For we are labourers together with God: ye are God's husbandry, ye are God's building.
10 According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a wise masterbuilder, I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth thereon. But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon.
11 For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.
Workers In The Vineyard
.. So as we see then in verse five, Christians are working in the vineyard, and in a vineyard they all have different jobs and functions. And so with different jobs.. abilities we see different results of their labour. But it’s God who gets the work done and that is what it’s about..
Growth Is A Miracle
.. So He’s the master builder – He’s the boss – He gets it done. He wants us to simply yield over and let Him work in and through us. It’s interesting you know that the farmer who sows the seed can’t actually make the seed grow – that is a miracle. What the farmer does is feed and water the ground the ground but he can’t get that seed to grow, only God can do that. That’s why when you sow a seed you are seeing something that is miraculous..
The Water Of The Word
.. That is why The Word Of God is that spiritual seed that is placed into our hearts. The Word Of God washes, that’s why we speak much of Word washing and watering us. It’s because the seed that germinates is God’s work – the miraculous side. The farmer can’t do that, he simply has to provide the soil but the growth is God’s work..
.. It’s exactly the same with The Manchild (Revelation 1) who is growing in the womb of the Woman (the church). What is causing that growth? It’s food – The Word of God.. .. ..
Psalm 127:1 Except the Lord build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the Lord keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain.
