Beloved, if our heart condemn us not, then have we confidence toward God. John 3:21
And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight. John 3:22
And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us: John 5:14
Desiring To Obey
..When you see this – if you love the Lord – then you want to be kept clean. You want to be washed and cleansed because that is what keeps you in fellowship – in relationship with Him. And he clearly says that is what is needed for your prayer life – for your petitions. ‘ Are We Assured He Hears Us ? ‘
And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him. John 5:15
I can ask God (anything according to His will) and know that He hears and answers. That’s what He wants you to know. And how do you know assuredly that He’s heard you – by keeping His commandments – doing what He’s asking you to do. It’s not actually rocket science this.. And so the Lord is bringing us to that place where we know that He hears us – that we’re not going to doubt.
Walking In Confidence With Him
When we get into His presence whether it’s individually of corporately for prayer, we’re not going to think ‘ O gosh I’m battling unbelief, I don’t know whether my prayers are going any higher than the ceiling. ‘ We should be coming to a place where we’re not thinking like that anymore. That’s not on our radar. It’s not in our thinking now. God has done such a work – he’s working such an assurance within our lives a ..walking with Him.
Our relationship is an experience – we should be walking with Him now twenty-four seven. That should be an experience because that is what maturity – sonship is all about.. You know that you can completely and utterly rely on Him. He is totally trustworthy and never ever lets us down.
Effective In Prayer
All of that is absolutely vital in a prayer life when we bring our petitions before Him. That ‘ He hears and will not let me down. ‘ He may work it in ways past finding out.. Don’t try and work it out.. He knows exactly what He’s doing and He’s never wrong.
..This is the work the Holy Spirit is doing with us.. don’t hinder ..fight Him, He’s in complete control. He’s going to work this confidence that when we ask anything according to His will He hears us. And we know that He hears us..
