James 5:7 Be patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord. Behold, the husbandman waiteth for the precious fruit of the earth, and hath long patience for it, until he receive the early and latter rain. 8 Be ye also patient; stablish your hearts: for the coming of the Lord draweth nigh. 9 Grudge not one against another, brethren, lest ye be condemned: behold, the judge standeth before the door. 10 Take, my brethren, the prophets, who have spoken in the name of the Lord, for an example of suffering affliction, and of patience. 11 Behold, we count them happy which endure. Ye have heard of the patience of Job, and have seen the end of the Lord; that the Lord is very pitiful, and of tender mercy.
Our Patience Is The Rest Of Faith
.. When you are patient you are at rest – at peace and are not striving. Often when you see saints striving that is a sign that there is no patience. Our patience is required for the coming of The Lord which is at hand. The Church has been waiting 2000 years and His delay is so that we get it right – so that we are looking to Him 24/7. There needs to be an expectation in the heart and if it’s not there ask The Lord to put it there – and He will.
Our Patience Is The Vision Of Faith
In the delay people will grumble – they were not learning to have patience. You have to be in faith to persevere knowing that God is faithful. He will come, He will reward, He hasn’t forgotten me. That is why we have these examples in scripture – so that we don’t fall victim to this.. I stay with it I confess and endure and not allow myself to go into debt – it’s all part of acting our faith and not reacting. Faith waits with an expectancy.
Our Patience Is The Test Of Faith
I can wait because I know I have received. God delays because He’s watching to see if we’re going to believe or become impatient ‘ it’s not going to happen – move on. ‘ Suffering and patience are the hallmarks required of a true minister and the test of an Overcomer.. We stay and learn from God’s ways so that we may become effective in prayer and useful to The Lord.. ..
Psalm 27:14 Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the Lord.
Hebrews 10:36 For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise. 37 For yet a little while, and he that shall come will come, and will not tarry. 38 Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him. 39 But we are not of them who draw back unto perdition; but of them that believe to the saving of the soul.
